🤦♂️I have always been scared of Monday in the past. Resuming work after Saturday and Sunday was never easy and I had to push myself hard and be harsh on myself for Monday. It was never required though. It is just another day and I wanted to stop myself from being harsh.
🧮I tweaked some changes in life to deal with Monday Blues and was able to accept Monday just as another day.
📆The most important change was planning in advance. I now sit for 30 minutes on Sunday to plan not only for Monday but also for the entire week. My office work is huge and that can be overwhelming but with proper planning and things laid out in front of me, it reduces the chaos and cluttering.
🧘♂️Also, one more change that came automatically was due to meditation. There were 2 benefits of meditation. I was more calm and happy, which really helped me to embrace Monday. Secondly, I stopped criticizing myself. I was trying too hard. I just needed to stop trying too hard and accept things as they were.
😴I changed one more thing and that was my sleep! Sunday night we used to awake like Owls and that made the start of the Monday with low energy. Proper 8 hours of sleep and I was ready to take on the World.
😁🕺One more change I implemented was planning my fun activities. Throughout Monday's work, I was more excited about the hobby activity which I had planned on Sunday. Now there was something to look forward to after my work and I really liked that part of the fun.
So these were my main points through which I was able to work my Monday Blues.
🙏😍Let me know what worked out for you!
It’s interesting how the construct of a “work week,” or even just “week” can change how we interact with it. Like the designation “new year;” the reality is, it’s just the next moment in our collection of moments - nothing to be feared.
Love it Himanshu!
